Ellements Magazine: Who inspired you to become this phenomenal woman you are today? Introduce yourself to Ellements magazine.
Robin M: My late step Father Leroy Price, he had a little to do with me becoming who I am now in the Entertainment Industry. He pushed me to be the BEST in everything I do. My first gig was co-hosting the television show WORD UP (WDAO Radio owner Jim Johnson) with Micheal Ecton (Radio announcer for WDAO) in Dayton Ohio. I was also a politician, a manager for Mia Coleman (American Idol contestant), I am now COO of Fam First Entertainment, manager of Dayton, Ohio’s rap artist Chaos (CCSERVA) of Fam First- RJM management, Model, and of course a Radio Personality.
Ellements Magazine: Besides the Entertainment world, you also are a mother & grandmother as well. How is family life?
Robin M: I am a mother of 4. 3 sons & 1 daughter (Chris Jr., Mario, Carlos, & Brooke with 4 “grandbees”, short for grand angels.)
Ellements Magazine: What would you say to women wanting to start a career in the entertainment industry and what keeps you going on a day to day basis.
Robin M.: Believe in yourself, everything starts with you period. But it also takes your team; it doesn’t matter if it’s your co-workers or CEO. You have to have the attitude, have tenacity, and never give up on anything. No matter how many closed doors there is always a cracked or open window. As women, we have to be firm in entertainment. We as women go through a lot in this industry. Men don’t take us seriously. We have to let them know, we are about BUSINESS and nothing else!

Ellements Magazine: What are some peaks & some down falls about being a radio personality?
Robin M.: The hardest part of about being a radio personality is that people don’t think that we are real, people don’t realize that we are human just like anyone else. We all make mistakes, we are more then just a voice behind the microphone. (I don’t make that many LOL). The peaks of being a radio personality it’s not about the notoriety. It is about talking to people and getting them to change. The thing that excites me the most is being able to interview celebrities and getting their respect, the love they are giving me, and the encouragement is a peak of it as well. What more could you ask for!
Ellements Magazine: You are and were a manager for two very successful artists in the music industry, how do you feel about the music that is out today? What is Robin Mobley listening too right now?
Robin M.: Music is poetry however there is most defiantly a difference from today’s music from when I was younger. It is so explicit; there is no leading to the imagination. It’s so much SEX SEX SEX instead of making love. But at the end of the day, music is music and I don’t think we can be with out it. Some of these rap artist you cannot judge them because they are expressing their lives; this is how they live on a daily basis, or how they did live. Usually when I get up in the morning I listen to gospel music, then I listen to Chaos’s music as well; he is always putting something out and I need to get a vibe of him since he is an artist I manage. But to wine me down I listen to old school & some new R&B. Artist like Raheem Devaughn, Charlie Wilson, Anthony Hamilton, Teddy Pendergrass, Aretha Franklin, and Temptations.
Ellements Magazine: You model as well, which to some women your age believe to be taboo or maybe they have gotten too old. You also are very youthful how do you keep your spunk, youthful personality & beautiful figure? And who inspired you?
Robin M.: Ever since I was a little girl my grandmother Joeann Mitchell inspired me to Model. I never saw her with out make-up; she was the sharpest woman in Dayton! She encouraged me and she kept me in beauty pageants. She also influenced the relationship I have right now with god. With 2 near death experiences, god blessed me, and I over came those down falls. When he gave me the ability to walk again, I made up my mind that god gave me another chance and it was by his grace and mercy! As far as my youthfulness I think its genetics. People can’t believe I am 40 yrs old LOL! But I always work out to stay in shape; I don’t do any plastic surgery. I just eat right and work out other then that I don’t do anything different. I like to think somewhere I have a fountain of youth that’s running inside of me that will keep me going forever until I stop breathin’. I want to be that poster woman for women my age just to let them know they can do anything. When I model and walk down runways it is all through my lord and savior! I want to be every woman’s encouragement. I just know that god has played a major role in my life; especially after 2 near death experiences I know that I am on this earth to do what I’ve been gifted to do.
